In Web3, data will be interconnected in a decentralized way, which would be a huge leap forward to our current generation of the internet (Web2), where data is mostly stored in centralized repositories. Furthermore, users and machines will be able to interact with data. But for this to happen, programs need to understand information both conceptually and contextually.
Where Web 2.0 was driven by the advent of mobile, social and cloud, Web 3.0 is built largely on three new layers of technological innovation: edge computing, decentralized data networks and artificial intelligence. Web 3.0 networks will operate through decentralized protocols ā the founding blocks of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.

Blockchains and the ecosystems on top of them allow entrepreneurs to build huge projects with very lean teams. Aspiring startups will only have to focus on building their project on the blockchain. Web3 will handle the rest ā built-in scalability, cryptographic security, composability between protocols, and programmable money.
